CJS Securities (Pty) Ltd (formerly CJ Slabbert & Co) was founded in 2002. The company has established itself as a highly specialized broking company serving a diverse and quality client base. The primary focus is broking in equity derivatives and commodity derivatives listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
MEMBERSHIP OF EXCHANGE
CJS Securities (Pty) Ltd is a member of the financial and agricultural divisions of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and operate in the capacity as broker in the following markets:
- equity derivatives
- commodity derivatives
The company operates within the rules and directives of the JSE and enjoys the full benefits and protection of the exchange. Clients are protected in the event of default of a member according to the rules of the JSE. All client positions are continually monitored by CJS and cash balances are kept at the clearing member, ABSA bank.
CJS gives clients cost effective, quality service and direct online trading access to derivatives listed on the JSE.
SERVICES
Equity Derivatives Market
The company covers futures on the All Share Index, the Industrial Index, the Resources Index, the Financial Index and related indices. CJS trades in single stocks on shares that constitute the All Share Index, and mid-capitalized shares that are authorized by the clearing member, ABSA Bank.
Commodity Derivatives Market
The company covers grain futures and options, Chicago corn futures and options, crude oil futures, gold futures and platinum futures. Grain futures include maize, wheat, sunflowers and soya beans.
Research
In addition to the securities broking function, the company provides an advisory service on most aspects of the financial markets, including technical analysis, research and economic trends.
CJS is a young flexible company with capable resources for sustainable growth. The company has the necessary experience and expertise to provide a professional service to clients.
